John Walker

John Walker, who serves as our current board chair, has a history of working in public education. Serving 29 years as a publicly elected member on the Ventura Unified School District Board of Education, he also served eight years on the Board of Directors for the California School Board’s Association. During that time, he was a part-time instructor teaching business related courses for ten years in the Ventura Community College System. Professionally, John was employed at Verizon 34 years, working in field operations, finance and marketing, retiring in 2000. He then worked for the Ojai Unified School District 15 years as HR Director and Risk Manager finally retiring in 2015. John, his wife Kathy and daughters Rhonda and Christine first started attending VMC in 1971. He is a USMC Vietnam Era veteran, attending Life Bible College, Pepperdine University and CSULB holding a BA in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration. John has three verses that have ministered to him over his lifetime, John 16:33, Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 46:10.

Jeannie Saucido

Jeannie Salcido has been a member of Ventura Missionary church for 34 years where she currently serves on the Administrative Council. She has been married to her husband Chris for 34 years. They have 4 children and two grand children. She is the previous owner of a private school in Camarillo and she is currently the co-director of Royal Family Kids Camp, a ministry to children in the foster care system.

Lynn Bova

Lynn Bova has attended Ventura Missionary Church since she was a child. Now, as a mother, wife, and teacher, she is excited to serve God in this role as a member of the VMS School Board. She and her husband, Joe, are both educators in the Ventura Unified School District. Lynn has taught K-5 since she began teaching in 1993. She has her Master's Degree in Educational Technology and serves as tech support at her school and is on the VUSD tech committee. They have six children who began their education at VMPS, and are now all in college. They also have 2 dogs and a little flock of backyard chickens.
